About 20 percent of Floridians face food insecurity, and about 40 percent of those are now relying on a non-profit's services for the first time.
Farm Share is a non-profit with the mission of making sure no one goes hungry, and no food goes to waste.
Since the pandemic began, the group has seen an influx of families needing their help. Last year, Farm Share distributed 4 million pounds of food per week, which is double their average output.
