Small businesses are the cornerstone of most communities. From hiring locally to using local vendors, these businesses help drive local economies. However, a third of Black, women owned businesses, says they cannot afford another year of business under pandemic conditions.
Visa conducted a study, The Visa Black Women Owned Business Report, to find out what they could do to help lessen the blow. The company created the She's Next Grant program, which is giving more than a $1 million to these businesses in six cities, including Miami, and offering things like mentorships, and getting online.
