Last week, I gave you my top anticipated superhero films of 2020. Now we reminisce on some of the top superhero films that came out in 2019.
First up, "Shazam!"
DC’s "Shazam!" came out as a fun, superhero adventure. A film with so much heart and plenty of humor. "Shazam!" was DC’s first successful film after "Aquaman!"
And recently announced, "Shazam!" will have a sequel with a release date of April 1st, 2022!\
Next, "Avengers: Endgame."
The film was the cinematic event of the year. It celebrated a decade the adventures of the Marvel Cinematic Universe with all the favorite Marvel characters we have grown to love. It even beat out "Avatar" and became the highest grossing film of all time.
Last but not least, "Joker."
This movie set a new standard for comic book films. This rated R origin story had a plot that was intense and told a story of how "Arthur Fleck" became Batman’s most villainous foe.
"Joker" grossed over $1 billion at the box office. And as of now, there are talks of a possible sequel in the works.
