Several exotic animals that were “on the loose” earlier on Wednesday after a tornado hit an exotic zoological park in Oklahoma have all been found and are safe, according to KFOR.
The Grady Co. Sheriff’s Office confirmed to KFOR that all the exotic animals have been accounted for and are safe.
The wildlife park houses leopards, lions, alligators, tigers and other exotic animals.
Residents who live near the park were asked to stay inside until the animals were located.
Heavy rain and multiple tornadoes hit central Oklahoma on Wednesday.
A tornado was spotted 20 miles southwest of Chickasha, Oklahoma, around 3 p.m. local time. Another tornado was spotted near Amber around 4:20 p.m. A tornado 1/2 mile wide was seen on the ground near Newcastle around 5:30 p.m. local time.
Some areas south of Oklahoma City have reported at least 12 inches of rain as of 11 p.m. ET.
