Let’s start off with the hostess with the mostess, Ms. Miley Cyrus.
She had multiple outfit changes, crazy skits, multiple selfies were taken, oh and she dropped an album “Miley Cyrus & Her Dead Petz.” Miley also took advantage of the fact that there was a few second delay to curse her way through each segment.
Nicki Minaj opened the show performing, “The Night Is Still Young,” where she brought out none other than Taylor Swift. It can be assumed that the drama the two had earlier in the month has been resolved because I mean let’s face it almost no one stays mad at Taylor.
Minaj then threw shade at Miley because of some words Cyrus had said in a previous interview. Can’t we all just get along?
Kanye attempted to give Taylor Swift a back handed apology but it didn’t necessarily work. Taylor of course only had nice things to say but once Kanye took the mic it was all down hill from there. He did choose to announce that he would be running for President in 2020 then dropped the mic and walked off stage.
Justin Bieber returned to the VMA’s stage five years later and at the end of his performance the camera then panned to the Biebs while he was slumped over in tears. I wonder what Selena thought of all of this?
Then there is Taylor Swift who released her new music video “WildestDreams,” won almost every single award, and had her uber famous squad there for moral support.
Each year the VMA’s really tries to outdo themselves, so we can only imagine what 2016 will bring.
