Rubio campaign gets weird with a gift of Trump water and heckler getting personal

NEW YORK, NY – Campaign shenanigans are taking center stage for Donald Trump and Marco Rubio in their race for the Republican presidential nomination.

The Trump campaign sent Rubio a case of “Trump Ice Natural Spring Water” with The Donald’s face on each bottle, along with a towel and a bumper sticker.

The water was a back-handed homage to Rubio’s awkward reach for a water bottle during the Republican response to the 2013 State of the Union Address.

The Trump campaign said the towel is because Rubio sweats a lot, especially during debates.

Trump also had some less-than-flattering words for Rubio in a telephone interview.

“He's weak on immigration.  Take a look at his past. “He's got $12 in the bank.  He borrows. He works with his car dealer in Florida.  Gimme a break.”

Rubio also took some verbal hits during a campaign appearance with members of New York’s tech community.

During the question-and-answer, one attendee started on a rambling list of topics that quickly turned personal.

“How do you plan to deal with fraud? The answer is you can't. You cheated on your wife in Florida. I think you should drop out of the race. Your polling numbers are too low to win."

The man was escorted from the room. (What a perfect time for some of that Trump water.)

Rubio responded only by saying, “That was kind of weird, anyway.”

Well, when the going gets weird, the weird come out of the woodwork.
