Here at SFL-TV in honor of Simpsons Halloweek we’ve put together our list of the Top 5 Simpsons Treehouse of Horrors.

#5 Treehouse of Horror XIX
The Mad Men parody was “dead on” and they did a spoof of the “Great Pumpkin”. Where Milhouse waits in a pumpkin patch for the Grand Pumpkin.
We’re surprised The Simpsons took so long to spoof this Halloween classic.
But hey, better late than never.
#4 Treehouse of Horror XIII
H.G. Wells’s The Island of Dr. Moreau is parodied.
Homer is transformed into a Walrus, Marge a cat, Bart a Spider, Lisa an Owl and Maggie an ant eater.
This episode not only makes our list because of the creepy H.G. Wells story but this is the first “Treehouse of Horror” to be called “Treehouse of Horror” instead of the Simpsons Halloween Special.
#3 Treehouse of Horror IV or (The Simpsons Halloween Special 6)
We now enter the “classic” period of the Simpsons Halloween Specials.
Some would argue the most memorable.
We start off with the “Attack of the 50 foot Eyesores” where real advertising statues come to life and wreak havoc on Springfield. Most notably the Lard Lad statue crushing buildings with his giant donut. The second skit is a spoof off of “Nightmare on Elm Street” called “Nightmare on Evergreen Terrace”. Groundskeeper Willie plays Freddie Krueger. And last but not least is Homer 3 (Homer Cubed) This episode came out in 1995 around the premiere of Toy Story. 3D Animation was becoming very popular. So the show creators made Homer and Bart in 3D.
#2 Treehouse of Horror V or (The Simpsons Halloween Special 5)
We have to mention “The Shining” parody or we mean “The Shinning” we don’t want to get sued. No Beer, No TV makes Homer go something, something…

#1 Treehouse of Horror I or (The Simpsons Halloween Special)
This is the one that started it all. Arguably “The Raven” is probably the most memorable of all the Treehouse of Horrors. Plus we are introduced to Kang and Kodos. The two aliens that will be a part of many Treehouse of Horrors. You thought we were not going to mention them. For shame!
