Meet Poncho, a 5-year-young Chihuahua who was recently rescued from a puppy mill in Clewiston, Florida. The ASPCA relocated over 100 animals to various shelters from this seizure and Poncho is one of two left at Humane Society of Broward County.
As HSBC's Cherie Wachter explains, and as you can see in the video above, the animals were living in deplorable conditions. Poncho's new owners will truly be giving him a second chance at life!
Because of where he came from, Poncho's new family should understand that he may have some health issues down the road that will require proper attention and care. He'll do best in a quiet household without kids, but other dogs are fine!
To adopt Poncho or any of the animals you see below, visit HSBC at 2070 Griffin Rd, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33312.
Beautiful Crystal can’t wait to meet you! This gal is a Siamese mix who's just over a year old. Crystal is playful, spirited and curious once she settles in to her new home. She gets along with small dogs and would do best in a home with older children or adults only. Can she be part of your family?
If you like big dogs then Golden could be the perfect addition to your family. He's a five year young, 71 pound shepherd mix who was given up because his family moved to a smaller place and they had no room for him. Golden is an active fellow, who knows some commands and he enjoys a good game of fetch and playing with toys. This fellow previously lived with kids over the age of 5 and he is good with other dogs. Your days will be brighter if you adopt Golden!
Ray Ray is a 1 ½ year old feline who is more like a cat in a dog suit. He's an outgoing fellow who will greet you at the door and also likes to cuddle. Ray Ray previously played with small dogs at home and got along with the other felines. He has a super sweet personality and hopes you’ll give him the forever home he so desperately wants. Stop by the shelter and you may just find your next family member.
Tonka is a Labrador mix who is almost two years young. This fellow is a bit shy and to help him he is currently staying with a foster family. They say he will do best in a home with another dog friend, as he really perks up and likes to play. Do you have a doggie friend who needs a friend?
If you like big kitties, Slider is purrfect for you! He is a 6 year young, 23 pound feline who is sweet, gentle and curious. He probably should lose a few pounds, so if you’re looking for a partner to diet with…Slider could be the fellow for you.
