Weed brings in the green, 2015 sales grew past $3 billion

Posted

PAWTUCKET, RI - With marijuana being legal in certain parts of the U.S., the new laws of the land seem to have taken root because sales are sky high, from the ground up.

According to the Marijuana Business Daily, in 2015, medical and recreation pot sales grew past $3 billion, crushing Girl Scout Cookie sales of $776 million.

With pot sales being so high last year, experts project revenue to reach more than $6 billion this year.  That's enough to make Cookie Monster look like he's blowing smoke about cookies.

It's hard to deny that Girl Scout Cookies are a hot item, but weed seems to be bringing in the green.  Apparently, that's how the cookie crumbles.
