We've all looked at nutrition labels usually glancing at the calorie count but what if your food packaging told you what it would take to burn those calories?
As much as Americans love nutrition facts, the Royal Society of Public Health says a simple icon on food packaging could help you stay healthier.
Our favorite foods, even foods that seem harmless can take a lot of activity to burn off. For example, that one little snickers bar you decided to cram has 215 calories.
To burn that off it would take: a 25-minute jog, a 45-minute brisk walk or a 30-minute workout of pushups, sit-ups, lunges, and sprints. All of this still burns just around 200 calories.
Two in three of us are either overweight or obese so maybe we need to re-adjust our diets and an activity icon may just help us "work out" the calorie-confusion.
