LOS ANGELES, CA - Talk about getting caught red-handed!
A LA woman allegedly stealing packages off a front porch was caught in the act by the homeowner, and his confrontation was all caught on camera.
"If I were you I'd put that down," he told her.
"Why?" she asked.
"Because that's my stuff. I live here," he responded.
"You live here?" she retorted. "My mom lives here."
"I'm gonna call the police on you," he threatened.
"Take your sh** then!" She threw down his packages and walked away.
Wow, the woman does a total throw-down of the guy's stuff, and she doesn't even say she's sorry!
So what does the homeowner think about the "postal" thief?
"I guess she's like, 'I got caught,' and she's mad about it," he said.
The homeowner, who wants to remain anonymous, confessed this wasn't his first burglary.
"My vehicle was broken into....literally last week," he shared. "So those packages was to replace the stuff that was stolen."
Ouch! That's like adding insult to burglary!
Apparently this neighborhood has seen plenty of mail theft in recent weeks, so neighbors were happy the would-be crook was caught on camera.
"That was the best thing ever," one neighbor commented. "And I'm really surprised that he got such a good picture of her face."
"It's just a matter of time," Alhambra Police Sgt. Jerry Johnson predicted. "She might be in hiding right now."
Residents hope the mail thief will turn herself in, but once the police catch up to her, they have a special delivery just for her-- behind bars!
