Scientists in England claim they now have scientific proof of life after death

Southampton, England - It's the greatest question in the history of mankind-- the question of whether there's life after death?

Well, according to a new scientific study published in the journal Resuscitation, scientists across the pond have answered that question.

That's right, researchers claim there is now scientific proof of life after death!

Over 2,000 people who had experienced "cardiac arrest" participated in the four-year-long study that recorded evidence showing conscious thoughts continue even after a person is pronounced "dead."

Prior to this study, most doctors believed that the brain stopped functioning about 30 seconds after a person's heart stopped beating.

But now scientists say a person can be conscious for up to three minutes after being pronounced "dead."

One patient even recalled an "out-of-body" experience while being dead.

Scientists say more study is needed, but these findings mean that death can technically be reversed.

So, guess death and taxes are no longer guaranteed, after all.

Now if doctors could just make the IRS go away...
