It could be the tiny arms, or the massive head flopping on the end of the long neck, but the Tyrannosaurus Rex was the hands-down favorite contestant on the “American Ninja Warrior” course Monday.
It wasn’t the actual dinosaur, of course, but competitor Riko River wearing a fantastic, inflatable T. rex costume.
After a tough week marred by the nation’s deadliest shooting inside an Orlando nightclub, Rivera told the New York Daily News he was happy he could put a smile on people’s faces.
“Many people have said this video has brought them a lot of light and happiness in this dark time for our country,” Rivera said. “To those affect by the attack, I can only hope that this video may lift your spirits and take your mind away from the pain if only just for a moment.”
Rivera may not have completed the entire course, but he certainly won the audience’s applause and laughter during a difficult time.
