SPRING, TX - James Harden says this off-season is about getting his mind and body right, while also trying to lure top talent to the Rockets.

"July 1 is going to be very interested and we're all excited," the Rockets guard said while at his James Harden Basketball ProCamp . "This summer is very important for us to get back to winning ways. Whatever it is, I'm willing to help and do. I've got to come back as a better basketball player individually, but I want to make sure the cast around me is ready to go and we're all on the same page."

Harden plans on trying to convince his former teammate in Oklahoma City, Kevin Durant, to join him in the Bayou City.

"He's one of my really good friends, so I'm gonna try. Obviously, he has a big decision. I would love for him to play here in Houston, but ultimately, he'll make the best decision for his career, whatever that is."

Harden also says he's been in close contact with new Rockets coach Mike D'Antoni over the last couple of days, and Harden is excited about the hire.
