ATLANTA - Winter is still two seasons away, but the Centers for Disease Control has issued a new warning. It says this year's nasal spray FluMist vaccination, will not work, so you're stuck with a shot.
Infectious disease specialist, Dr. William Schaffner says the vaccine performed "quite poorly." According to the CDC, about one-third of all flu vaccinations are administered to kids in the form of the nasal spray.
For now, the decision on what to do next with FluMist is in the air. Until then, you can still get a shot in the arm, the good old fashion way.
