HOUSTON --  While some kids are zoned out playing video games this summer, others are busy learning how to design them!

These junior geniuses are on the University of Houston campus for iD Tech Camps. It's a week-long summer program held at college campuses across the country.

Kids ages 7 to 17 get to learn new, or develop existing, skills in subjects like programming, robotics and design.

From programming languages like Java and Python, to using 3D imaging software like Maya, kids get to use the same tools professionals are using every day.

And college students in programs associated with each field are here to help out.

Summer may be all about fun and games, but that doesn't mean they can't learn something along the way, right!?
