After School Satanic Clubs could be coming to elementary schools across the country.
A group called the Satanic Temple is trying to open its After School Satan Club in public schools across the nation, in a fight over freedom of speech.
The group’s leaders say Christian Evangelical groups have infiltrated schools after a 2001 Supreme Court ruling.
The proposed after-school clubs would emphasize the development of reasoning and social skills.
Students would need a parent’s permission to attend.
The “Educatin’ with Satan” will focus on the concepts of “critical reasoning, independent-thinking, fun and free thought,” according to the group’s website.
