For over 100 years the Boys and Girls Clubs across America have participated in the Youth of the Year award program.
Boys and Girls Club of Miami-Dade president, Alex Rodriguez-Roig, says the five regional winners always take a trip to the Oval Office. While they're there they will get a chance to chat with the President Joe Biden about the club and what it has meant to them.
Each club nominates one youth, who then tells a story of how the club has had an impact on their life. Winners from each club will go on to compete at the state and then regional level for the title of Youth of the Year.
