A dinosaur-themed car parade for six-year-old Maverick Bouchard-Meranda from Davie was just the summer surprise he needed.
Maverick is battling leukemia and his Make-A-Wish dream of visiting the Jurassic World 3 movie set is currently on hold because of the Coronavirus.
On June 18th, 50 cars including fire trucks, police vehicles and The Florida Panthers gave little Maverick this Parade of Hope to remind him his dino dream will be granted as soon the Covid-19 scare is over.
“I’m overwhelmed. This is absolutely amazing," said Stefany Bouchard, Maverick's mother. "Make-A-Wish went above and beyond for Maverick. It’s brought so much joy to his quarantine life. It was really awesome. We had a good time. We did not expect all of these people, to be honest. I don’t know a lot of these people (here) but I’m glad they’re here to share this experience with Maverick.”
Mom also says Maverick is a dinosaur fanatic, that he can’t get enough of them. Here’s wishing all of his dino dreams come true.
