As the city of Miami is revving up businesses again, the Greater Miami Convention and Visitors Bureau has enter their second phase of Miami shines. The campaign has now entered its recovery phase which is an effort that centers around the hospitality industry the city has to offer.
"We wanted to come up with a positioning that spoke to the voice of this destination, of this community and we felt that Miami Shines not only speaks for our amazing sunshine and our weather. But to our people, to our places, to our neighborhoods. We want our communities to embrace this and help us support this industry who has been decimated during this crisis," said Rolando Aedo, Chief Operating Officer, GMCVB
For locals who want to just get away from their homes and plan a stay-cation but are hesitant in doing so. The hotels under the GMCVB are taking precautions very seriously.
"In terms of giving customers, the comfort level. We've been working with the airport, the hotels, restaurants, of course our local government officials in developing a destination pledge. And that pledge is that a minimum of all these touch points that our customers and visitors will be going through and are going to be achieving the minimum standards the CDC, the health department have asked them to implement," says Aedo
