If you’re a thrill-seeker who loves dinosaurs then Universal Orlando Resort has something special planned for you: the new Jurassic World VelociCoaster. And we’re getting a sneak peek at the intense ride. Just look at the video preview by Kirk Gimenez. Or for more, read on.

This new species of coaster is scheduled to open in the summer of 2021 at Universal’s Islands of Adventure theme park.

The new attraction is described as the fastest and tallest launch coaster in Florida. It will have a launch clocking-in at 70 mph in just 2.4 seconds. But that’s not all. It will take you 155 feet in the air in a “Top Hat” maneuver that has an 80-degree-drop.

You want more?

The VelociCoaster features 4,700 feet of track and a 360-degree barrel roll. It also reunites riders with a pack of Raptors (you’ll be “hunting” alongside the Raptors) and also with characters from the new Jurassic movie franchise --- Chris Pratt as Owen Grady, Bryce Dallas Howard as Claire Dearing and BD Wong as Dr. Henry Wu.

The VelociCoaster should be a big fan favorite as it was designed in partnership with the actual filmmakers. So expect an authentic and detailed ride that will leave your heart pounding.

And a reminder that Universal Resort has implemented strict protocols following CDC guidelines during the Pandemic.
