National comfort food chain PDQ also known as people dedicated to quality is not only recognized for their delicious and fresh chicken tenders but they’re also known for their work within the community. Recently, PDQ opened its newest location in Coral Reef.
“We’ve been waiting for this location for over six months. We got shut down and the community has been waiting for it. And finally, we have arrived in the city and everybody just loves it,” says Rick Neira, Operating Director, PDQ Coral Reef
Alongside their grand opening, the Coral Reef location has partnered with smile train, an organization dedicated to support and raise awareness for children with clefts.
“What we are doing, is that we are rounding up the dollar. Also, people can donate. So if you come to us and your ticket is $2.50 we round it up. Meaning 50 cents will go to Smile Train, which helps the community and the families in need,” said Neira
Smile train provides the best service for kids who have severe clefts which makes it hard for children to eat breathe, hear, or speak. The organization is thrilled to have partnered with the food chain.
“PDQ is just one of those organizations that it was really clear to us that they were passionate about what Smile Train does and we’re equally passionate about what PDQ offers as far as quality food and service and their dedication to their customers and that makes a difference,” states Melanie Buchmaster, VP of Development, Smile Train
