With all of our children at home for quarantine, Ms. Carmen Magarino, 2nd Grade Teacher from BridgePrep Academy in Kendall, has some advice for all parents out there.
"Make sure that they [children] take it seriously. That they get online, they do the reading, they do the assignment, and not to take it lightly. If they do take it lightly and think of it as a break then it's going to be a lot harder when we do get back together again, they're going to lose everything we have accomplished so far," said Magarino
Here are 5 tips to help your child during the home learning process.
1. Create a daily routine
2. Partner with you child & establish expectations
3. Create a comfortable learning environment
4. Plan daily check-ins
5. Provide opportunities for joy
