Another 12,600 COVID-19 cases for Florida after hitting 15,300 previous day

Over 4,000 cases came from Broward and Miami-Dade counties.

On Monday Florida recorded another 12,624 new COVID-19 cases in Florida. This comes one day after over 15,000 cases were recorded on Sunday. The state now has 282,435 confirmed cases.

Miami-Dade county, which recently closed down dine-in restaurants again, had 3,269 confirmed cases bringing their total up to 67,713. Broward county recorded 1,459 cases bringing its total to 31,484.

The overall positivity rate has risen to 15.6 percent which is above the target range of 10 percent, according to the state department of health.
