Here’s a feel good story featuring a young man who wants to give back after getting a new lease on life.

Jermaine Toomer recently held his virtual high school graduation due to the coronavirus. And he even celebrated with a giant inflatable slide.

Jermaine overcame the odds following a kidney transplant in 2018.

At age 16 his life as a football player at Miami Central High School was forever changed after becoming ill. He would become the first pediatric kidney transplant recipient at Joe DiMaggio’s children hospital which has the only pediatric kidney transplant program in Broward County.

And now because his life was rescued, Jermaine’s goal is to become a paramedic so that he too can help others.

Congratulations to Jermaine Toomer of Miami Central High’s class of 2020.
