Comic Relief’s Red Nose Day is taking place on May 21st. Red Nose Day is a fundraising campaign that is dedicated to ending child poverty with the light-hearted act of wearing red noses.

Due to COVID-19, this year, Red Nose Day looks a bit different as Comic Relief is doing their part and staying safe at home. Which means you won’t be finding the red noses at your local Walgreen’s. However, when you donate online to red nose day you can unlock your own digital red nose.

This year once again, Comic Relief Inc. will honor two local South Florida organizations who are not only in the fight against child poverty but also COVID-19.

"The support is more critical than ever before. Prior to all of this, we were serving 706,000 individuals. Right now we're supporting over 1 million people in need of assistance," said Sari Vatske, Executive Vice President of Feeding South Florida.

"This year is a challenge because of the Coronavirus, but the impact is still going to be incredibly large. Obviously, things are a little bit more expensive to run, but the heat is greater than ever. There is still a great need, there are a lot of parents ready to go back to work, and they really need somewhere to leave their kids. They always trust us and we're working hard to make sure that the clubs are ready to go," said Alex Rodriguez-Roig, President of The Boys and Girls of Miami-Dade.

To donate to Red Nose Day which will benefit The Boys and Girls of Miami-Dade and Feeding South Florida, head on over to and unlock your digital red nose.
