Broward county has been one of the places in Florida hit the hardest by COVID-19. Now, the United Way of Broward County is launching the #StayAtHomeBroward campaign to try and help flatten the curve.
On Monday, the county closed all non-essential businesses. Now, the local chapter of the United Way is asking the community to show their support and solidarity by making a sign that says "I live United #StayHomeBroward."
Parents, children, teachers and seniors are encouraged to help spread the message and show the importance of self-isolation to prevent the spread of the virus.
United Way of Broward County has also launched a fundraising campaign to provide food assistance and emergency finanacial assistance.
Folks at home who want to help spread the message even further can email their photos to Stephanie Metrie (Smetrie@unitedwaybroward.org) at United Way of Broward County who will share them on United Way of Broward County’s social media platforms.
