We know many of you have lost your jobs because of the Coronavirus pandemic, we want to help by connecting you with available jobs in South Florida. Every week on the Rebound South Florida, we’re highlighting a company that’s hiring. Today, we tell you about a healthy gourmet meal delivery service that’s looking to hire dozens of people.

As the pandemic shuts down hotels, bars, and other hospitality businesses, other companies are looking to hire new employees.

“People are just anxious to get back to work and I’m happy to have positions,” said Harris.

Scott Harris is the CEO of DeliverLean. They’ve already hired hundreds of people to help with the need of packaging food and they’re looking to hire more.

“People in food preparation, we’re hiring a lot of people in sanitation because it’s critical to keep our facility clean, customer service, receiving department, some marketing, and technology people as well,” said Harris.

DeliverLean was founded in 2011 and has grown to one of the nation’s largest food manufacturers specializing in health and wellness, servicing all of Florida with a focus on healthy meal deliveries and emergency meal kits that are available for nationwide delivery.

The company recently partnered with Miami-Dade County to feed the most underserved populations, including the elderly, homeless, first responders, and food-insecure youth.

“We are still doing food drives with Alonzo Mourning in the Overtown Youth Center every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, so we’ve done a lot of partnerships with sporting teams to make sure that we do our part. You turn on the TV and you see three or four miles of cars, people waiting hours and hours for food, it just resonated with our staff,” said Harris.

Harris says the company stands for helping others live a healthier life. Harris wants candidates who are willing to help those in need and are hungry to grow in the company.

“If we have great employees then we can accomplish everything, we’ve been nimble enough to pivot with this COVID situation. You have a lot of people that are staring at it saying what am I gonna do, others are using this as an opportunity. So, to align ourselves with people like that and want to disrupt industry, that’s something I would look for,” said Harris.

Harris’ motto is “teamwork makes the dream work". If you think you’re a team player and are interested in the work, email hr@deliverlean.com.
