Heaven Mykonos, a contemporary Mediterranean dining concept, located in CityPlace Doral is looking to hire 50 employees.
Positions and requirements vary.
“Back and front of the house, we actually need a couple of managers as well. We are focusing on people who have that passion to serve. We are very big into making all of our guests feel welcomed and we want to keep that mentality,” said Luis Toledo, GM of Heaven Mykonos.
Opening a restaurant in the middle of a pandemic can be stressful, but Luis says they’re doing everything they can to keep employees and customers safe.
“We have been thriving while other places have been closing. This is the newest member of the group so we’re really excited about it. We must be doing something right,” said Luis.
Luis says working for a company like UMG Hospitality has given him an opportunity to grow in his career.
“I started working at [their] distillery, I was a sales representative. They gave me the opportunity to grow and now I’m in the GM position and I’m thankful,” said Luis.
“Right now I’m here with a lot of energy,” said Estefania Andrade, Executive Chef at Heaven Mykonos.
Estefania was let go after a restaurant she worked for closed down when the pandemic hit in March. She was just hired to be the executive chef of the new eatery and says she can’t wait to get started.
“It’s so exciting to be here, I was in my home for a long time during the pandemic. It’s so exciting to get back to work to do what I love, cooking,” said Estefania.
Luis says the company has been following all CDC guidelines including social distancing efforts and mandatory face masks for entry at all of their locations.
