WSFL helping South Florida rebound, navigating these challenging times. That includes finding work through the pandemic. A new restaurant concept is looking to hire new employees.

Outback & Carrabba’s Express is looking to hire new employees with experience in the hospitality industry. Located in Hallandale Beach, the two concepts are now under one roof, allowing guests to mix-and-match a limited menu of the dishes from each restaurant.. all for delivery, takeout or catering only.

Managing partner Matt Morrell, says they’re in need of 10 new employees who are willing to take on several roles.

“We’re hiring for to-go specialists, which is basically a server-cashier mixed with a delivery driver. We’re also hiring line cook positions, both hot-side and cold-side. We’re also hiring for dishwashers,” said Matt.

Morrell says there are full-time and part-time positions available.

“As far as benefits, full health, vision, dental and PTO. They need to work a minimum of 32 hours over a look-back period in order to be eligible for those benefits,” said Matt.

“With my youngest one off to school, I definitely wanted to get back into the workfield,” said Jenny Martinez.

Before working at Outback & Carrabba’s Express, Jenny Martinez was out work for over six months. The mother of four was doing everything she could to make ends meet until she was hired in October.

“With having the boys, I need flexibility with my schedule and that’s something they provide. They have provided me with many opportunities. I’m the front of the house specialist but I am a key holder,” said Jenny.

“The saying that I like to say all the time is, we hire for heart and attitude and we train for the skill and position,” said Matt.

The South Florida Outback and Carrabba’s Express location opened last month. To celebrate its grand opening all customers will receive free delivery using the promo code FREEDELIVERY through Mar. 31.
